CRUISE TO DIA ISLAND
WHY SHOULD I GO TO DIA ISLAND?
Half day cruise to Dia island gives you a possibility to make a sea walk and to enjoy a beautiful Cretan nature.
Dia island is a small island faced opposite Heraklion just 12 miles north. During ancient times Minoans had a commercial port there. Wellknown french diver and scientist Jacques Yves Cousteau, during his investigations, found here a lot of minoan pottery and remains of piers.
Today this place is national reservation for wild goats and an archeological park.
Our sail boat needs just 1 hr to reach this place and you will have a lot of time to swim, dive, or to fish. Light lunch will be served on board.
Fishing equipment and bites will be given to you by boat crew.
This trip brings you away from noicy resorts and here you will have a possibility to see Crete coastline from the sea.
You may jump in the water from our boat or to stay on the beach. Very clear waters full of different kinds of fish. Some times we may meet sea turtles and dolphins.
You don't need to wake early morning to go there, or to drive far away. Our transfer vehicle takes you from your hotel and drives streight to Heraklion port, where our sail boat will wait for you.
